Our client, a commercial HVAC contractor located in the east end, is currently looking for a temporary Accounting Assistant for a 3-month contract to assist with day-to-day accounting responsibilities. The main areas of focus will be entering and processing payroll as well as billing and accounts payable.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Enter and process payroll
Assist with billings
Enter invoices – AP
General accounting support where needed
Assist with various projects
Other administrative duties as required

Credentials:

1-3 years' of experience working in Accounting
Experience working with QuickBooks Online is a must
Completion of an Accounting Diploma considered an asset
Excellent written and oral communication in English
Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Excel (sort, filters, basic formulas, etc.)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment
Keen attention to detail

The wage for this position ranges from $30.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience.

Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pm – Flexibility for part-time hours available.

Length of contract: 3 months with the possibility of extension
