As an Accountant you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of Company financial reports, analytical reviews and general ledger maintenance.

As The Accountant You Will

Assist in the preparation of monthly internal financial statements.
Monitor expenses vs. budget/forecast and business plans and analyze variances.
Perform project work as assigned.
Reconcile GL and control accounts as assigned.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and related subledgers to ensure accurate records.
Prepare and post monthly general journal entries.
Assist in preparation for external audit.
Remain current on new accounting issues/guidance to ensure compliance with ASPE and GAAP.
Collaborate across departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
Assist in the development of the department’s performance against continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
Action opportunities to improve department processes, productivity, and system automation.

As a Successful Candidate You Will Have The Following

Currently enrolled or intention to enroll in a formal accounting program. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Ability to work in a multi jurisdiction company supporting remote locations.
Self-motivated with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Critical thinking skills with an analytical nature.
Ability to work independently, but as part of a dynamic accounting team, to ensure the Company financial objectives are met.
Proficient in MS Office products (Excel) and ability to learn in-house computer programs.
A Criminal Record Check may be required.
