Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Busy medical practice looking for a mature, detail-oriented and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling front desk reception and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a friendly demeanor.
Job duties
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional manner
- Verify patient contact information
- Answer and direct phone calls promptly
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Medical billing, accounts payable/receivable, schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation
- Maintain supplies inventory
- Typing reports, medical transcription of dictations, and billing for medical services
- Ensures the reception area is tidy and presentable
- Any other administrative duties as assigned
Required skills
- Positive professional customer service attitude
- Able to work independently and a strong attitude to learn
- Strong organizational skills, attentive to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Excellent proficiency in English, written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Previous experience in a Medical Office setting is beneficial, but not required
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
- Understanding of Medical Terminology in a healthcare office setting is an asset

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience from $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Current schedule:
Mon, Tues & Thurs 8:30am-2:30pm, Wed 11am-5pm, Friday 8:30am-12:30pm
For the right candidate may be able to shift the hours slightly
