Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of general accounting practices.
Responsibilities
- Process and record incoming payments accurately and timely.
- Maintain accounts receivable ledgers and ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile discrepancies in accounts and resolve billing issues with clients.
- Prepare and send out invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy in billing details.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with the payroll management team to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
- Utilize HRIS systems for tracking employee-related financial transactions as needed.
- Support corporate accounting functions by maintaining organized records and documentation.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Workday, Kronos, or similar platforms.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with payroll management processes is preferred.
- Understanding of corporate accounting practices and GAAP standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or related finance roles is advantageous.
