Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. The Financial Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial management practices.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee budgeting processes and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable to maintain optimal liquidity.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights on financial performance and support decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation of tax returns.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in financial management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
