Job Role Summary:
The Financial Controller has full oversight of all operational accounting functions, ensuring financial integrity, accuracy, and compliance. They will lead day-to-day accounting operations, cash flow management, financial reporting, and internal controls. Additionally, they will oversee health benefit management, payroll administration, and WSIB compliance to support the organization’s workforce and ensure regulatory adherence. They will work closely with the department managers to enhance the overall financial performance, drive operational efficiencies, and maintain rigorous financial discipline.
Primary Accountabilities:
Financial Leadership: Provide oversight for all operational accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy and timeliness.
Health Benefits, Payroll, and WSIB Management: Oversee payroll administration, ensure timely WSIB reporting and compliance, and manage health benefits programs to support employee wellbeing and regulatory compliance.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor accounting department team members, ensuring high standards of performance and collaboration.
Operational Accounting: Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Cash Flow Management: Ensure effective management of cash flow, liquidity, and working capital across all dealership locations.
Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial compliance.
Reporting: Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports to the CFO and executive leadership.
Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes. and financial operations, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration: Work closely with managers to support planning, control activities, and strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of senior financial experience- Valid driver’s license
- Post-Secondary Education
- CPA, CA Designation preferred
- Proficient in analysis and creation of business financial statements
- Advanced level Technical/Computer skills required
