Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities
General Banking, Accounting, and Records Management
- Overseeing company accounts and managing payables through reconciliation of accounts, packing slips, and invoices.
- Handling general banking tasks, including transfers, deposits, and related documentation.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly remittances for Employer Source Deductions, HST, EHT, and WSIB.
- Administering weekly payroll and issuing annual T4 slips, along with ad-hoc Records of Employment (ROEs).
- Reporting and Data Management
Generating monthly, quarterly, and yearly billing reports.
- Managing project data for analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
- Ensuring an organized and efficient filing system, both digitally and physically.
- Reception and Office Management
Welcoming visitors and maintaining the visitor log.
- Answering phone calls, acting as a gatekeeper, and directing calls as needed.
- Drafting letters and other documents.
- Managing office supply inventory, placing orders, and restocking as required.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- You hold a post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- You are a self-driven and experienced administrative professional with a minimum of three years of experience in accounting, auditing, and bookkeeping, ideally within the engineering and construction sectors.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have a solid working knowledge of accounting software (experience with Jonas Accounting Software is preferred).
- You are an effective communicator, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
