NUMIS CPAsis looking for an experienced and detailed Senior Accountant to join our team! Reporting to the Partners, the Senior Accountant will mainly focus on high level prep and first review of compilations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complex compilation engagements, review engagements and various other accounting assignments
- Manage file progress and workflow
- Review working papers and support for the completion of financial statements
- Review corporate and individual tax returns
- Review sales tax returns
- Review monthly bookkeeping engagements
- Utilize technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy
- Providing ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of accounting staff
- Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with exceptional quality, timely and responsive services
Qualifications
- CPA Designation is a requirement
- 4+ years with relevant public practice experience
- Experience with Review & Audit engagements
- Experience with Caseware, CCH iFirm, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint)
- Exposure to paperless systems, including QuickBooks Online, and SharePoint considered an asset
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Excellent time management skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with the team when required
- Driven to meet simultaneous deadlines and adapt to competing priorities
