You are an experienced, highly organized, detail-oriented bookkeeper ready to join our team. In this part-time position, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial and administrative operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a great team player, proactive, and resourceful.
This part-time (20-25 hours per week), in-office position is located in Waterloo, Ontario. We are close to the LRT and bus routes, but having a vehicle would be an asset.
Responsibilities
- Accounts receivable: invoicing clients and posting payments, credit card processing on our Freshbooks online payment system
- Accounts payable
- HR: Payroll and timesheets
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Manage cashflow
- Prepare year-end accounts for the accountant
- Other accounting functions
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Manage office supplies
Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Quickbooks Desktop with Payroll
- Knowledge of Canadian & Ontario tax obligations
- Fluency in English, verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Helpful Skills
- Good communication skills
- Experience with Google Workspace (Google Mail, Google Sheets, and Docs)
- Familiarity with online payment systems (Freshbooks)
- Experience in an IT environment or marketing agency is an asset
