The Max Die Group is a world class tooling company, with three facilities located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
MDG is looking for a Human Resources Assistant with experience in payroll and who is equally skilled and comfortable supporting HS&E compliance & administration in a mid-sized manufacturing operation.
This role requires a candidate who brings a blend of strategic and tactical skills, responsiveness, decisiveness, and the motivation & ability to elevate the H&S role. In addition, this candidate would be required to travel to additional sites to manage and support as a Human Resource to all Max Die Group Employees.
Responsibilities:
Providing Technical Support: Ensure that all activities at each site conform to legislation, Company policies and procedures through a variety of tools including communication, auditing, training, and root cause investigation. With the support of the HR Manager, you will act as a safety resource and support all sites by administering and ensuring that the employees are in compliance with legislative policies and procedures.
Employee Management: Planning, monitoring employee results, counseling employees, initiating and coordinating training and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Administrative: Integral to HR administration, the requirement to ensure all required forms and records are completed in an accurate, thorough and timely manner, including legislative training requirements are up to date and recorded. Time and attendance tracking, data entry, employee onboarding, performance review scheduling, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources Administration or related field.
- 2 - 5 years of HR related experience, ideally in the Manufacturing industry.
- Understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as well as other safety related laws and regulations, including Human Resources disciplines.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
