Who we are looking for:
Genesis Hospitality is searching for an Accountant/Bookkeeper in their Centralized Accounting Department in Brandon, Manitoba. The successful candidate will have two years' experience completing full-cycle accounting, be able to deal with monthly government remittances, and knowledgeable in completing bank reconciliations. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a Business Administration University Degree/College Diploma.
What you will learn:
A full working knowledge of hotel accounting software, and the month-end close process including cost of sales calculations and inventory reconciliations.
Position Summary:
Through the guidance of the Controller, the successful candidate will complete monthly financial statements, prepare remittances for accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations and assist other team members as needed.
