The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our tech client in the role of Payroll and Benefits Manager. As the Payroll and Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team and managing the payroll and benefits for our global workforce. This is a crucial role that will contribute to the financial success of the company and provide support to our management team. The role will involve working with various entities and implementing strategies for cost savings and process improvement.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Oversee and manage payroll processes for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate payments to all employees
- Lead the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and other employee perks, ensuring compliance with local regulations
- Manage and mentor a payroll and benefits team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence in service delivery
- Ensure compliance with all local, federal, and international payroll regulations
- Prepare and submit necessary reports, tax filings, and audits
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline payroll and benefits processes, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and cost savings
- Work cross-functionally to support decision-making and enhance employee experience through efficient payroll and benefits management
Success Criteria & Deliverables:
- Develop trust with the team and senior management within the first 3 months
- Display a comprehensive understanding of the company's payroll and benefits procedures and compliance requirements within the first year
- Evaluate team capabilities and provide ongoing management and coaching
- Implement improvements to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and reduce cycle times
What We Need From You:
- Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation an asset
- 5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits management
- Experience with multi-location payroll and taxes and knowledge of payroll procedures and laws for Canada/US, UK, and India
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify areas for improvement, propose solutions, and implement processes that drive efficiency and cost savings
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze payroll data and provide insightful recommendations to management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership
