As the driving force behind our administrative operations, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, a keen eye for efficiency and a proactive problem-solving mindset. This is a great fit for someone who is comfortable with handling daily accounting functions and reviewing financial reports on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years of QuickBooks experience and education in accounting in addition to a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and proficiency at the following tasks below.

Reports to President
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Accounting
• Maintain Company database in CoConstruct
• Assist with year-end preparation for accountant
• Pull QBO reports weekly/monthly for President -
• Accounts Receivables: Maintain all customer accounts to remain current in all companies
• Scanning, sorting, and organization of vendor bills
• Banking: responsible for all banking deposits
• Apply and maintain supplier credit accounts
• Post transactions in QBO
• WIPAA/ other industry-specific templates
• Process all payables and payments
o Print vendor bills, then match with PO or code to relevant office supplies
o Ensure Project Managers are aware of the invoice if PO hasn’t been issued
o Scan and rename documents for QuickBooks and Project Files
o Post bills and expenses in QuickBooks and/or CoConstruct
• Able to analyze current loans, assets, and project budgets and spreadsheets –
• Ensure weekly hours are prepared for payroll - reconcile and maintain time sheets
• Process bi-weekly payroll, including new hires and terminations (ROEs)
Qualifications:
• Must have 12 months of Canadian bookkeeping experience, co-op experience is acceptable
• Business diploma with a focus on accounting
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in QuickBooks (online), Microsoft 365 (Experience is a must)
• Strong problem-solving skills
