Position Summary:
Hucks Marine & Resort and Parkstor Ltd has immediate need for a Accounting Clerk.

Our sister company, ParkStor is a state-of-the-art, indoor, heated, secure and year-round storage facility that offers services exclusively to boats, RVs, campers, cars, and other vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
· Data Entry: Accurately enter financial transactions such as invoices, receipts, and other financial documents into accounting systems.
· Accounts Payable/Receivable: Assist with the preparation, processing, and recording of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
· Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
· Filing and Recordkeeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date files for all financial records, ensuring proper documentation is available for audit and reporting purposes.
· Expense Reporting: Assist with processing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
· Support Month-End Close: Assist in the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations during the month-end close process.
· Vendor and Client Communication: Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and other departments regarding financial transactions.
· General Administrative Support: Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, storage and dockage contract management, account reconciliation and other clerical tasks as needed to support the accounting department.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. Enrollment or plans to enrol in the CPA program considered an asset
- Experience: Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping is an asset. Willingness to learn and grow in the field is essential.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
