Job Opportunity: Intermediate Staff Accountant - Full-time hybrid position
We seek a dedicated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in Toronto. This position offers a great opportunity for growth within a hybrid work environment, working with clients in various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, year-end letters, and required documentation.
- Ensure audit and review engagements comply with GAAP, GAAS, and firm policies.
- Conduct audit sections, including internal control analysis, accounts receivable/payable, and inventory.
- Complete NTRs, reviews, and small audits independently.
- Prepare corporate and personal tax returns (T1s and T2s).
- Collaborate with managers and partners on audit findings and accounting principles.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Canadian CPA firm.
- Private enterprise experience (compilations, reviews, audits, tax returns).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, CAS, and Canadian tax laws.
- Towards the end of your CPA designation (planning to take the CFE within the next 3-6 months) or successful completion of the CFE in Canada
- Ability to work hybrid, with a base in the Toronto office.
Key Skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently on routine tasks.
- Proficient in Caseware, Caseview, Taxprep, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Job Details
- Full-time position with a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000.
- Reporting to: Senior Staff Accountant.
- Location: Toronto, ON (head office).
- No relocation support is available.
