Riipen is looking for an experienced
Junior Accountant to join our Finance Team. In addition to contributing to the strong financial performance of the company, this role will be very hands-on with Riipen's day-to-day operational finance and accounting functions.

This role is fully remote and you can be located anywhere in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Functions, ensuring timely creation of Sales Invoices and Collections, and processing of Expenses (vendors and employees)
- Support monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, reports).
- On-going maintenance and reconciliation of Bank and Credit Cards accounts
- On-going reporting and analysis of cashflows
- Support drafting of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Statements in compliance with GAAP
- Perform variance analysis and review to ensure accuracy of information and work, and to support the understanding of business performance and trends
- Support the completion of other periodic tasks such as annual Financial Statement Review and tax return by external accounting firm, sales tax reporting and filing, payroll-related withholding and compliance
- Provide support to other members of the Finance team and other Departments, and participate in new project initiatives and tasks, as needed
- Contribute to and assess internal controls, including developing new controls as required
Skills Knowledge and Expertise

- Have at least 1 year of experience in an accounting role
- Have or are actively working towards a CPA designation
- Have the ability to consistently deliver exceptional results on demanding timelines and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Have the ability to stay organized in a busy environment
- Have advanced Excel skills
- Are detail oriented and take pride in delivering accurate results
- Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Bonus Points:
- Experience in full cycle accounting
- Proficiency in presenting data and documenting variance analysis
- Experience with NetSuite, Hubspot, and other SaaS metrics platforms
- Exposure to Canadian/US Sales Taxes, multi-currency, and multi-entity environment
