About The Role
The Accounts Payable (AP) Associate ensures timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, maintaining compliance with company procedures.
Your Responsibilities
As an Accounts Payable (AP) Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable transactions in accordance with internal procedures and requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and processing a large volume of daily invoices promptly and accurately
- Verifying that transactions comply with company procedures
- Monitoring invoices for proper approval and coding
- Preparing batches of invoices for data entry
- Processing cheques and issuing payments as required
- Preparing cheques and invoices for mailing and/or filing
- Filing and photocopying AP paperwork
- Maintaining vendor files in accordance with company procedures
- Providing professional and timely customer service to both internal and external customers
- Communicating frequently with internal Managers to ensure accurate invoice reconciliation
- Coordinating and processing invoice adjustments as required
- Completing additional tasks as assigned
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable (AP) Associate who is passionate about accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Post-Secondary Diploma in Accounting or a related program, or equivalent experience. CGA candidates are preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable position or a related accounting role
- Proficiency with accounting software and the ability to quickly learn new systems is essential
- Advanced experience with the MS Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, is required
