*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain financial records and perform general accounting duties. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong attention to detail.
*Responsibilities*
- Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record all financial transactions in QuickBooks, including, but not limited to income, expenses etc
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Ensure timely payments to vendors and handle incoming payments
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurate and up to date
- Financial reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial repots including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements
- HST/GST Returns: Prepare and file HST/GST returns in compliance with relevant Canadian tax regulations
- Payroll Taxes: Calculate and remit payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial requirements
- Corporate Taxes
- Submit payments to Utilities
Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferable within an electrical industry.
· Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
· QuickBooks Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks with a strong understanding of it’s features and functions and minimum of 3 years experience,
· Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
· Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
