Reporting to the AVP Financial Reporting and Operations, and working closely with Analyst and Sr. Analyst Treasury, will be responsible for Account Payables, Treasury and daily bookings to Oracle and SAP GL, for Munich Life Management Corporation Limited.
The incumbent will also be required to support both external regulator and Head Office investment reporting.
This is a 12-month contract with possibility to be converted to permanent. This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in our downtown Toronto office.
Key Accountabilities:
Accounts Payable
- Responsible for the maintenance of cost center and user information on a regular basis in Concur Expense application.
- Create and update employees and vendors to SAP Payable/GL in compliance to the internal control policy.
- Prepare and support the weekly payments in SAP ledger.
Treasury
- Prepare, analyze and obtain approval for weekly Cash Projection Report.
- Calculate the Quarterly Portfolio Interest Rate.
- Update the Quarterly Exchange Rate in Oracle ledger and perform USD Revaluation on a quarterly basis.
- Prepare and support the submission of the annual treasury reports to Head office
- Prepare various ad hoc management reports on a timely basis.
Financial Reporting
- Execute the daily interface to Oracle Ledger, analyze, report and resolve any exceptions from the daily batch run.
- Prepare and upload quarterly journal entries to support the Group ledger closing in Oracle Ledger.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience with accounts payable/treasury
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with Oracle considered an asset
- Experience with insurance industry considered an asset
