The Salesforce Developer / Administrator is a vital member of the CRM team responsible for developing and supporting solutions within the Salesforce.com platform, while maintaining regular collaboration with stakeholders. An individual in this role must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and will need to demonstrate deep understanding of software engineering concepts from design to deployment, and provide knowledge transfer of enhancements to trainers and business leadership. Solutions will be implemented into technically-complex (Apex code-heavy) Salesforce implementations.
Must Haves:
- Minimum 3+ years of Salesforce administration experience
- Understanding of the Salesforce ERD
- Solid understanding of expanding or refining sharing rules and access privileges so records can be properly viewed and manipulated (while keeping other type of "special records" locked or hidden)
- Experience using Data Loader
- Have a good understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and CPQ
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
- Previous experience working in a SCRUM or Agile environment is an asset
- System & Software Knowledge: SQL, Force.com, Salesforce platform (CPQ), Database, System Design
- Product/Service/Process Knowledge: Salesforce Lightning, Software Life cycle (Development process)
- Fluent with the primary Salesforce.com programmatic technologies: Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
- Strong understanding of complementary technologies: Java, SQL, HTML/JavaScript.
- Understanding of APIs, REST and SOAP services is an asset.
- Ability to interpret existing code for the purpose of enhance existing, and develop new code that does not conflict with existing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and create technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; can effectively communicate with non-technical audience.
- Consistent ability to meet deadlines.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Bachelor of Computer Science preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I.
- Other Salesforce certifications are an asset.
This role will serve as the Saleforce Admin for the organization:
- Work on Salesforce Projects and any Support tickets that are assigned
- Support the Salesforce.com environments and other business applications integrated with Salesforce – QuickBooks,
- Grant/ remove and maintain user licenses
- Assist in the development of new features and fixes
- Test and troubleshoot solutions as designed
- CRM Ops in defining required features and mapping Salesforce features to Business Processes
- Create and maintain business processes in Salesforce.com using components such as: process builders, flows, workflow rules and approval processes
- Provide Functional Support to CRM and CPQ Users
- Keep up to date with Salesforce Releases and Features
- Assist with User Training, Adoption and Satisfaction
- Work with all levels of management to support any complex reporting needs that are required (i.e. create report types in Salesforce or determine needs in Tableau, CPQ, renewals reporting)
- Project Work (Design & Functionality)
- Collaborate with Manager business units and Dev Team, and third-party vendor (if applicable) on the solution design document
- Document and implement project specifications
- Code, Configure and Unit Test solutions as assigned
- Work with stakeholders to ensure requirements have been met before handing off to the business
- Conform to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) standards within the organization
