POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Controller is responsible for the entire accounting cycle of a project and for ensuring that the project’s financial goals are met. He/she provides all financial information required for the project, including account management and financial reporting to lenders.
REPORTING
The Project Controller reports to the Project Director. He/she may be responsible for several projects simultaneously. One or two accounting technicians report directly to the Project Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement all required financial controls to monitor the cost against the budget.
- Ensure the systematic and efficient management of financial information for a rigorous control of budgets and costs.
- Establish project budgets and estimates and keep data up to date.
- Manage the project's financial services.
- Coordinate and review month-end financial reports to ensure information integrity and accuracy.
- Supervise and participate in the production of financial statements.
- Coordinate the relationship between management and financial institutions.
- In collaboration with the project team, prepare budgets and forecasts and perform risk analysis.
- Prepare audit files.
- Produce various monthly reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC
EXPERIENCE
- 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards and SAP is an asset
LANGUAGE
Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written.
