One of our clients, a renowned law firm in Ottawa, is looking to hire a detail-oriented Bookkeeper on a full-time, on-site basis. If you’re experienced in managing financial records and thrive in a collaborative environment, this role could be perfect for you!
Salary range: $50,000-$60,000+, based on experience
About you
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years in bookkeeping or a similar role
- Skilled in bank reconciliation, AP/AR, and account reconciliation
- Experience in budgeting, payroll, and financial accuracy
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, and accounting software
- Prior experience in a legal or professional services setting is a plus
About the role
If hired, you will:
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Perform account reconciliations to track financial transactions
- Assist in budgeting activities to support financial planning
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Utilize software such as QuickBooks or PC Law for bookkeeping tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure financial compliance and reporting
