Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with a passion for numbers and accuracy? We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a growing public accounting firm in the Sunshine Coast area of British Columbia. Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for various clients, including A/R, A/P, and payroll processing.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts monthly.
- Prepare financial statements, general ledger entries, and trial balances.
- Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions accurately.
- Conduct GST/HST, PST, and other tax filings on behalf of clients.
- Assist with year-end preparation and liaise with accountants for tax purposes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and ensure confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting practices and tax filings.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple client accounts.
