Queen Consulting Corp. is actively recruiting on behalf of its client for the role of Bookkeeper, located in Saskatoon, SK.
Role Description
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Accountant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, payments, payroll, and month and year end reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Recording Transactions: Accurately record all business transactions in ledger systems or accounting software.
- Maintaining Ledgers: Keep financial ledgers up to date, ensuring they reflect accurate transactions. Manage accounts payable and receivable and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reconciling Bank Statements: Regularly check and reconcile bank statements with our internal records to ensure accuracy.
- Preparing Financial Statements: Assist in preparing essential financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Managing Payroll: Handle payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees while managing tax deductions and records.
- Handling Tax Preparation: Prepare and assist in filing tax documents, including GST and PST.
- Budgeting Assistance: Help in budgeting and financial planning to support the company’s financial health.
- Financial Health Monitoring: Provide insights through regular reports and summaries on the company’s financial status.
- Ensuring Compliance: Maintain financial records in compliance with legal and company policies, aiding in audit preparations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
- Work experience within manufacturing is considered an asset.
- Bookkeeping/accounting certification is considered an asset but not required.
- Strong familiarity with accounting software QuickBooks Premier and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in handling financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax filing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to changing processes and procedures and a willingness to go above and beyond.
- Intermediate/expert level knowledge of Quick Books Premier.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.07-$28.82 per hour
