Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function, ensuring accurate and timely collection of receivables, and managing the accounts receivable team. This role requires strong management experience, advanced Excel skills, proficiency in SQL and Power BI, and the ability to lead and mentor a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Receivables: Oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable department, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounts receivable staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Customer Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients to facilitate timely payments and resolve any disputes or issues.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts receivable operations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable performance, aging, and collections to senior management using Power BI.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel functions and SQL to analyze financial data and generate insightful reports.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to address billing issues and improve overall processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Skills:
- Strong management experience with a proven track record of leading and developing teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
