Description
We are in search of an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The selected candidate will be an integral part of our team, handling key responsibilities related to account reconciliation and invoice processing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function
- Perform vendor account reconciliation
- Collaborate with internal and external parties for effective vendor account management
- Process transactions and invoices, ensuring data accuracy
- Monitor vendor ageing to ensure timely payments
- Conduct periodic bank account reconciliations
- Process invoices in accordance with company norms within ERP
- Follow up interdepartmentally for invoice corrections and approvals
- Communicate effectively with vendors
- Handle corporate credit card account reconciliation and maintenance
- Perform month-end reporting and analysis
- Participate in SAP implementation related to accounts payable
- Adhere to workplace health and safety rights and responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow safe work procedures.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of one year of experience as an Accounts Payable Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Invoice Processing
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
- Experience in using Oracle for managing databases is preferred
- Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting purposes is preferred
- Familiarity with SAP for business operations and customer relations is preferred
- Knowledge of EFT Payments processing is an added advantage
- Experience in handling Credit Card Payments is important
- Proficient in Invoice Payment processing and tracking
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Must have problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
