We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our financial operations at our North York Office. This role will initially be a fulltime contract role for up to six months. The Accounts Payable Clerk is an integral part of finance shared services. This role will support the accounts payable team by completing duties in a timely manner, and assisting in meeting their goals and deadliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate invoice processing and payment of the organization’s bills
- Monitor centralized accounts payable e-mail box
- Process accounts payable invoices, ensure appropriate approvals of all business expenses
- Ensure receipts are included with expense reports and credit card statements
- Apply invoices against purchase orders in the accounts payable system
- Respond to queries regarding payments by both vendors and internal staff members
- Data entry of new vendor information into accounts payable database
- Reconcile vendor accounts and statements
- Maintain accounts payable filing systems, administrative and clerical support
- Provide administrative support to from time to time
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Comfortable working in an A/P finance systems. Previous experience with NetSuite is a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Well-organized and reliable with good communication and interpersonal skills.
