We are seeking Payroll Consultants to drive revenue growth and ensure the delivery of best-in-class payroll services to our clients. This role is multifaceted, encompassing responsibilities such as generating revenue through new business development, managing compliance processes, and overseeing systems to ensure continuous improvement. Additionally, the Payroll Consultant will play a key role in strategic business development.
Job description
• Understand the market demand & identify potential clients through research, networking, and referrals.
• Suggest tailored plans based on the client’s demand establishing the strong value proposition to close the deal.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Set revenue goals & prepare a plan to achieve the goals
• Oversee the payroll processing and account management of clients, including data entry and secondary checks if needed (system setups, request forms, timesheets etc.)
• Follow up on maintaining employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential Establishes and maintain employee records by ensuring employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis
• Proper coordination with the functional team engaged in maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures and client management
• Reconcile WSIB, EHT and payroll deductions for annual reporting as needed
• Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management
• Preparing and distributing the income statement
• Remaining updated with the regulatory changes
Skills and other qualifications
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, accounting, or finance
• Prior payroll experience – 3 years minimum is preferred – with good working knowledge of payroll accounting, general accounting procedures, and preparation of government remittances
• Knowledge of and compliance with federal/province//local regulation
• Experience with hourly and salaried payroll
• Knowledge in reconciliation, T4, T4A and ROE
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• High numerical aptitude
• Strong problem-solving skills & leadership potential
• The candidate must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with operation teams
• Comfortable learning and working with applications and systems (e.g., Payroll or CRM systems)
• Proficient with MS Office with strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Requires a strategic approach for developing new businesses to drive revenue growth, This involves identifying potential clients, networking, and onboarding new businesses for the payroll services, e.g. - self-service & managed payroll service.

Pay: $35,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
