Position Overview
Our client, a well-established company, is hiring a detail-oriented and reliable
Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk to join their team on a
part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone looking to contribute their skills while maintaining a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will work 1 day per week on-site, with the possibility of additional hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger entries
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports
- Prepare financial reports and assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Handle other ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
