Job Title: Accounting Manager

Position Overview:
Our client, a growing public accounting firm is seeking an Accounting Manager with 4-5 years of managerial experience in a small to mid-sized public accounting firm. Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of intermediate and senior staff accountants
- Complete audit and review engagements for for-profit and not-for-profit entities
- Preparation and audit for personal, corporate tax, and GST/HST returns
- Prepare payroll and government-related remittances and filings including, but not limited to T4s and T5s
- Correspond with the Canada Revenue Agency regarding client matters
- Utilize CaseWare, TaxPrep, and Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
- Assist in software migration and work closely with partners and managers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Accounting; CPA designation or pursuing.
- Experience: 5+ years in public accounting, with 3+ years in a managerial position
- Skills: Experience with Caseware, CaseView, TaxPrep and Excel. Strong communication skills
