As the
Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for providing high quality financial information to support management decisions and reporting by accurately analyzing financial information to prepare journal entries and completing thorough account reconciliations. The Accounting Analyst will assist with resolution of any inconsistent and inaccurate information in the general ledger.
A Day in the Life
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare general ledger entries.
- Performs statistical analysis to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes to general ledger accounts.
- Resolves inconsistent or inaccurate financial information in preparation of schedules, account reconciliations and reports.
- Prepares schedules and reports for management and/or auditors.
- Other duties as assigned, including special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting
- Minimum 1-year relevant work experience ideally performing journal entry posting, account reconciliation and account analysis
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an intermediate knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized, detail oriented and analytical
- Solves problems, work independently, possesses good judgement, exercises discretion and confidentiality
- Experience in Blackline, SAP or other accounting software considered an asset
