The Company
Our client, a leading professional service firm located downtown, is seeking a full-time, permanent Accounts Receivable and Collections Assistant. This role is essential in managing and optimizing the company's collections process, ensuring timely payments, and effectively handling outstanding accounts for some of the firm's largest clients.).

The Job!
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and securing payment commitments.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including the billing team, to support collection efforts and address any payment-related concerns.
- Payment Tracking: Regularly communicate with clients to monitor payment schedules and coordinate with internal teams to resolve any delays.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and report delayed payments to minimize credit risk and reduce outstanding receivables.
- Account Reconciliation: Monitor accounts receivable for overpayments and duplicate payments.
- Additional Duties: Contribute to special projects and initiatives as required.
What you bring to the job
- Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in B2B collections, accounts receivable, and/or billing environments, ideally within a professional services setting.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with accounting systems such as 3E Financial Systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work in-office 5 days a week for training and onboarding period
