Job summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team at our Mississauga, ON location. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting and bookkeeping tasks to ensure the financial health of our company.
Please note that this is a full-time on-site position in Mississauga, ON.
Salary: $45K-50K (based on experience) + Benefits (after 90 days of probation period).
Schedule: Monday to Friday.
Duties:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company.
· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
· Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
· Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
· Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
· Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
· Support the senior accounting team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
Required Experience/Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· At least 1 year of experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping.
· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
· Prior experience in the print or media industry is a plus.
