A growing manufacturing company in Cornwall is expanding and looking for a HR Generalist to join the team. This is a critical role in the HR department, as they work to support the floor staff, ensuring all HR functions are running smoothly, as well as making sure policies and procedures are followed. The ideal candidate can act as an advocate for their client group, provide support, as well disciplinary actions when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Act as a business partner, providing guidance to the floor staff
- Build relationships with floor staff, address concerns and provide guidance, advocate on behalf of employees when needed
- Handle all disciplinary measures,
- Track time and attendance, enforcing the company rules
- Stay on top of operational decisions, and work with HR Managers regarding day-to-day employee issues, and future stratagies
- Assess employee KPIs
- Stay ontop of company rules and regulations and ensure they are followed, answer questions and make any changes as needed
- Create a great work environment, boost morale, implement recognition programs
- Handle all aspects of payroll
This role must be filled by a candidate who can work with highly confidential information.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of HR functions and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using HR software and databases
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
