Purpose:
The Finance Analyst position is a key role within the Canada Finance Organization, directly collaborating with colleagues across both finance and the broader organization to drive key transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Manager FP&A, the Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, data analytics and reporting to support strategic decision making.
Job Description:
- Support accurate and timely preparation of annual business plan and periodic forecasts for the business and through to management presentations.
- Develop insightful commentary on performance and executive level presentation of data, drawing conclusion and support providing outlook.
- Provide systems expertise and training to business partners increasing understanding of the content, source, and flow of information.
- Maintain and enhance financial models and databases to support accurate and timely financial analysis. Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, variance analyses, and performance metrics to aid in decision-making processes.
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages to management, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
- Prepare the sales scorecards and incentive plans which are utilized by management to drive and motivate frontline sales staff towards appropriate goals.
- Create dynamic, user-friendly dashboards and reports in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to visualize key business metrics and support data-driven decision-making.
- Continuously seek to improve financial planning and reporting processes, driving efficiencies, and enhancing the quality of financial information.
- Partner with business unit leaders to develop and execute financial strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Support the evaluation of business investment opportunities.
- Participate in finance and cross functional projects.
