## Job Overview
*Preference will be given to candidates with agricultural business experience and comprehension of agricultural corporate practices.
This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on site at the main farm office south of Pasqua, SK. Work hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm OR 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an earned day off every second Friday. The workday includes a 30-minute paid lunch break. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Health/Disability coverage and an annual bonus. This job is not a remote work arrangement.
## Duties
- Banking: Proficient use of two business banking platforms and online business credit cards.
- Supporting Super User related to user access and system approvals.
- Manage deposits, financial payments (online bill payments, EFTs, etc.), cash calls and intercompany fund transfers.
- Key Connection for CFO, Corporate Accountants, Owners and other financial stakeholders.
- Accounting: Working with and taking direction from the CFO consultant and staff as well as Corporate Accountants to achieve successful month-end and year-end financial record-keeping.
- CRA Represent Client: managing multiple corporation CRA duties including, GST filings, reporting and access management.
- Bookkeeping: Oversee QuickBooks Online financial records for multiple corporations including:
- AP and AR,
- crop contracts, crop sales invoices and related payments,
- crop inventory,
- other revenues and deposits,
- journal entries,
- account reconciliations,
- Reviewing postings/work of other staff for accuracy.
- Posting and ensuring accuracy of capital asset and lease transactions.
- Ensuring balance sheet accuracy.
- Payroll: Handling payroll processing in WagePoint, including employee setup, terminations, ROEs, T4s, T4As, all benefits related submissions, calculations and postings.
- Collaborate effectively with the Office Manager, and Administrative Assistant to provide exceptional Business Support to the Babich Farms group of companies.
## Experience
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping
- Preference will be given to candidates with agricultural business experience and comprehension of agricultural corporate practices.
