Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our team in Ancaster, Ontario. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for a variety of tasks including payroll processing, bank reconciliation, and maintaining customer records. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health and procedures of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Handling payroll processing and payment to ensure all employees are compensated accurately and on time.
- Managing trade and administrative payables processing and payment to maintain good relationships with our suppliers.
- Overseeing customer sales orders and invoicing, ensuring all transactions are accurate and timely.
- Conducting bank deposits and bank reconciliation to ensure all financial records are accurate.
- Filing PST/GST and managing other financial obligations in accordance with local regulations.
- Keeping track of inventory usage and assisting with ordering needs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Leading project leader payroll tracking to ensure accurate compensation for project leaders.
- Utilizing Sage 50 software for various accounting tasks to streamline operations.
- Maintaining accurate customer credit records as part of our commitment to excellent customer service.
- Ensuring all bookkeeping tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner to support the overall financial health of the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Bookkeeping.
- Strong Data Entry skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Month End Close procedures.
- Experience with Payroll processing.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Sage 50.
- Experience with Bank Deposit procedures.
