Your Opportunity
The Junior Analyst, Asset Management & Investments will have a dual reporting role to the Senior Director, Asset Management and Senior Director, Investments and play a pivotal role in supporting Lankin Investments’ asset management and investment programs. This individual will be a shared resource across both departments, assisting with operational and financial analysis & reporting, capital expenditure management and investment due diligence.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Asset Management:
· Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports and asset performance metrics.
· Monitor and report on the operational performance of the portfolio, identifying areas for improvement.
· Support the preparation, development and implementation of asset management strategies.
Investments:
· Assist in the underwriting and due diligence process for new acquisitions.
· Conduct market research to support investment decisions.
· Prepare financial models and investment memorandums.
· Prepare investment committee memos for investment decision-making.
· Review, synthesize and summarize due diligence material.
Building Capital Improvements:
· Assist in the planning, procurement, execution and management of capital projects.
· Track and report on project activities, budgets, change orders and timelines.
· Coordinate with property management and vendors to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
· Conduct inspections of completed work to verify quality and address any issues promptly.
Financial Analysis:
· Perform financial modelling and analysis to support investment and asset management decisions.
· Analyze market trends and economic data to inform asset management & investment strategies.
· Prepare information for senior management and investors.
Administrative Support:
· Maintain financial and operational records.
· Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly and annual internal and investor reports.
Leading Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
· 1+ year(s) of relevant experience would be preferred
· Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, results-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
· Experience with real estate financial software is an asset.
· Inquisitive and willingness to ask questions in order to learn and develop
