Job Description: As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Maintain and balance the general ledger.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in bookkeeping (such as CB or CPB) is a plus.
