Position: Financial Controller
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our dealership's management team. This pivotal role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have automotive industry experience, playing a key role in both financial oversight and operational strategy. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Financial Controller will contribute significantly to the dealership's success.
Skills Required:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive or dealership operations, ideally in the same or similar accounting role. A college certificate or diploma in accounting is required, along with a strong grasp of automotive financial accounting principles. Essential qualifications include excellent organizational skills to handle deadlines effectively, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and strong interpersonal skills. Superior written and verbal communication abilities are crucial for effective interaction within the team and with stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, with experience in PBS considered advantageous.
Job Responsibilities:
The position involves overseeing comprehensive accounting functions to maintain accuracy and compliance across various financial activities. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of monthly accounting data, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial reports to pinpoint areas for enhancement. The role extends to providing tailored financial analysis and reports to management, as well as ensuring adherence to local, provincial, and federal filing and remittance requirements.
Additionally, it involves supervising accounting and clerical staff, overseeing cash control, banking activities, and Accounts Receivable processes. The position also encompasses preparing year-end documentation for external audit, maintaining the precision of accounts through monthly reviews, and managing necessary accruals and adjustments.
