Pacific Customs Brokers is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. We are a group of diverse companies operating in both Canada and the United States. All accounting is processed from our Surrey office.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 year of hands-on related accounting experience is required. Accounting experience in a multi-company environment would be an asset. As well, it would be beneficial to have some experience with the brokerage/freight industry. The successful candidate will have or be working towards their Accounting designation.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Daily bank reconciliations for multiple banks
- Posting of journal entries to the GL
- Data entry of credit card transactions
- Reconciling credit card transactions
- GL coding of transactions
- Archiving of credit card backup (both paper and electronic)
- Preparing administrative deposits
- Processing A/P freight invoices and payments
- Backing up AP Supervisor with preparing various reports
- Other requested administrative tasks as required
The successful candidate must have the following skills:
- 2 - 3 years AP experience in a high volume company
- 2 - 3 years of high volume bank reconciliation experience
- Must have experience with coding invoices to GL accounts
- Must be able to post a journal entry
- Above average communication skill in both speaking and correspondence
- Organized, attention to detail, professional
This position is located near the Pacific Highway Border Crossing and there is no public transit to this office. A reliable vehicle is a must.
