Kelly a leader in supporting workforce solutions is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to our clients team in the long term care industry. The successful candiadtes will be responsible for performing all administrative tasks related to the processing and follow-up of the company's financial reports.
The Accountant will ensure accurate computerized processing for all operations, prepare files for the annual audit, and act as a resource person for questions concerning these files and specific cases. Additionally, the Accountant will advise customers on financial issues and work closely with external auditors. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage priorities, and excellent customer service and communication skills in both French and English.
Please note this is a contract position set at 3-6 months, with opportunity to be extended or become permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Process and follow-up on the company's financial reports
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of information at all stages of the process
- Advise customers on financial issues and provide excellent customer service
- Work closely with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Prepare files for the annual audit and assist with any audit-related tasks
- Maintain good communication with internal teams and departments
- Manage priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Continuously update knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Handle any other related tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration (accounting) or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in accounting or a combination of training and experience deemed equivalent
- Strong computer skills, especially in ACCPAC and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage priorities
- Proven ability to work in an environment with tight deadlines
- Autonomous and able to assume responsibilities with minimum supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills, both written and spoken, in French and English
- Strong learning and interpersonal skills
- Good work history
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel as required

· Starting hourly wage from $23-$28.00 depending on experience
