Description
We are inviting applications for the role of an Accounts Payable Clerk located in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. This position operates within the industry and involves a long-term contract employment opportunity. The role primarily focuses on managing purchase orders, work orders, and other related aspects of accounts payable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the issuance and management of Purchase Orders (PO's)
- Manage work orders and ensure they are completed efficiently
- Verify that the correct parts have been received in the correct quantities
- Reconcile invoices and ensure they match with the packing slips
- Add necessary parts to the database as and when required
- Manage shop supplies, including ordering of nuts, bolts, lubricants, rags, oil, etc.
- Run and manage tasks due reports for commercial vehicle inspection
- Manage used oil by contacting the vendor when the oil is full
- Manage tire orders and ensure they are processed correctly
- Work towards ordering all parts in the future for efficient operations.
Requirements
- Proficient knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Ability to handle Purchase Orders efficiently
- Competence in managing Work Orders
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are met
- A high level of discretion to handle confidential information
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
