British Empire Fuels is looking for a Finance Manager who shall be responsible for:
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department of British Empire Fuels Inc.
- Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Monitoring and analyzing accounting data
- Establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Preparing accurate information for the Owners and General Manager, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial reports and statements
- Month-end and year-end process and audits
- Accounts Payable and Receivable supervision
- Reviewing the general ledger and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately in a timely manner
- Payroll and utilities
- Process monthly card-lock invoices
- Ensure timely processing of customer invoices
- Bank reconciliation
- Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- General bookkeeping
- Provide leadership, guidance, and assistance to organizational departments
- Provide recommendations and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Assist in providing an exceptional customer experience
Requirements
The ideal Accounting Manager will have the following:
- An accounting designation
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong computer skills
- Strong analytical, collaborative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a Finance or Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Bookkeeper
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $54,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
