Your Impact:

Accurate Payroll Processing: Assist in processing multi-frequency and multi-provincial payrolls for approximately 6,500 salaried, hourly, and unionized employees. Process all regular, commission, bonuses, and special payments accurately and on time.

Data Management Payments Processing: Perform payroll data entry, including vacation payouts, allowances, increases, retro-active adjustments, and taxable benefits. Set up garnishments and other deductions, and prepare ROEs as needed.

Quality Assurance: Audit payroll registers prior to transmission to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Team Support: Use Workday Payroll for processing, cross-train, and act as a backup for team members.

System Integration: Import data from the time and attendance program (Agile), review for accuracy, and troubleshoot errors.

Employee Records: Update electronic employee records and archive historical payroll registers as needed.

Compliance: Reconcile payroll tax accounts and respond to inquiries from employees and government agencies. Adhere to payroll regulations, legislation, and company policies.

Reporting and Analysis: Generate required reports, assist in preparing month-end journal entries, and review data for accuracy.

Policy Development: Collaborate with the team to review and develop internal payroll policies and procedures.
You Have:

Minimum 2-3 years of full-cycle experience with high-volume payroll (500+ employees).

Payroll certification or college diploma in a related field is preferred.

Experience with Workday Payroll is preferred. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and email.

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive situations professionally.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proactive approach with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws with the ability to stay current on legislative changes.
