Job Description:
Our client is in search of a skilled and detail-oriented Administrative/Accounting Assistant to join their dynamic property management team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in general administration, document handling, accounting, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for the real estate industry.
As an Administrative/Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the financial operations and general administration of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting tasks. Any relevant certification will be considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices to ensure timely payments.
- Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) tasks efficiently.
- Maintain and update accounting records using SharePoint and MS Office applications.
- Perform general accounting duties, including data entry, reconciliations, and report generation.
- Support the accounting team with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Provide exceptional support to internal staff and external clients.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to tackle complex financial challenges.
- Participate in team projects, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging accounting technologies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of accounting processes, procedures, and financial reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates are welcome).
- Experience in the real estate or property management industry is preferred.
- Fluency in English is must.
- Familiarity with invoicing, A/R, and A/P processes.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and SharePoint.
- General accounting and administrative experience.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
