Reporting to the Payroll Manager, in this role, you will:
- Process bi-weekly payroll & managing payroll audits for both hourly and salaried employees groups.
- Process employee on-boarding and off-boarding on payroll.
- Respond and verify requests from various agencies, for example CRA.
- Prepare and process year-end payroll, including T4/R1.
- Be responsible for ROE’s, remittances and reconciliations.
- Maintain employee data, files and records.
- Conduct on-going audits of payments and respond to external audit requests.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) with time-sheets and SAP codes.
- Run audits and surveys to ensure compliance.
We are looking for a team member that has:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Administration or related field.
- 5+ years of payroll experience.
- Experience with SAP
- A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
- Bilingual (English & French) is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to function in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- You have an eye for detail and accuracy and are energized by solving complex problems.
- You are able to deliver high quality work against multiple deadlines.
- When making decisions, you consider everyone and engage those who can add value to the process.
- You are adaptable in your approach and prioritize with focus on what adds value to the client.
