We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Payroll and Benefits Manager to join our dynamic and growing organization. Responsibilities:
· Ensure accurate and timely payroll for all employees across multiple provinces.
· Manage the complete annual payroll and benefits cycle, including all remittances, and reports.
· Keep detailed payroll records, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and adjustments.
· Ensure compliance with payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
· Manage employee benefits programs including renewal and negotiations.
· Provide information and resolve issues related to payroll and benefits.
· Generate and analyze payroll and benefits reports.
· Create and update payroll and benefits policies. Act as the subject matter expert on payroll and benefits, providing recommendations on best practices.
· Maintain payroll and benefits software systems.
· Support onboarding and train staff on payroll and benefits processes.
· Conduct audits and reconcile payroll and benefits accounts.
· Manage the preparation and provision of information required for external audits.
Knowledge & Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing and benefits administration.
· Payroll compliance practitioner designation or equivalent designation in payroll and benefits is required.
· Extensive knowledge of payroll-related tax information and remittances, including payroll source deductions and EHT.
· Knowledge of related Federal government legislation.
· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel for managing extensive reporting duties.
· Works collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
· Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of payroll processes.
· Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in payroll calculations and data entry processes, ensuring accuracy and precision.
· Provides excellent customer service by addressing payroll and benefit inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
· Displays enthusiasm, positivity, and eagerness to learn, contributing to a dynamic and supportive work environment.
