Purpose of the Role:
The Financial Analyst performs value-added Financial and financial analysis. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide the business and finance teams with detailed and accurate financial reporting. Additionally, the Financial Analyst must ensure that information in the budgeting and planning system (TM1) is complete, accurate and entered in a timely manner. Financial Analyst will assist with the monthly and quarter end revenue and budgeting reporting process.
The Financial Analyst must obtain a detailed understanding of OMG’s revenue models and sources from which they are derived.
Responsibilities:
Financial
- Responsible for monthly variance analysis and cost tracking reports
- Provide Reporting for External and Internal Audits
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting as required
Media Ocean / D365
- Obtain superior knowledge of OMG’s database file structure and how each module relates to specific clients
- Obtain understanding of OMG’s client accounting structures within Media Ocean
- Provide input into account structure setups to ensure that revenue and billings is recorded correct in Media Ocean and D365
- Complete month end journal entries to ensure that financial statements reported are accurate and complete
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist with OMG’s budget and planning process and cycles
- Responsible for the maintenance and enhancements of revenue reporting within TM1
- Analyze the TM1 data input by the contributors and follow up with the managers with any queries and updates required
- Work with the TM1 team in New York to maintain best practices and advance current Financial processes
- Maintain all data sets in TM1
Hyperion
- Responsible for Financial client billings and fees in HFM for both actuals and forecast including all supporting schedules
- Ensure Hyperion information ties into TM1 and AX data
Other
- Assist in the review of client fee reconciliations
- Responsible for GL account reconciliations
- Respond to special adhoc requests
- Other duties as assigned
