Job Summary
Reporting to the Controller, the
Accounts Payable Supervisor will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the accounts payable function within our finance department. You will be responsible for leading a team of accounts payable specialists, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Responsibilities-
Supervise and lead a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment disbursement.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records by reconciling accounts payable transactions and maintaining appropriate documentation.

Coordinate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies, clarify issues, and facilitate timely invoice processing.

Monitor aging reports and vendor statements to ensure timely payments and proactively address any issues or concerns.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating payment terms and resolving payment-related inquiries or disputes.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Assist with requested documentation for interim and annual audits.

Implement process improvements and best practices to streamline accounts payable operations and enhance efficiency.

Ad hoc reporting/projects as assigned.
Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

3+ years of experience in accounts payable or relevant finance roles, with a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to accounts payable functions.

Proficiency in using accounting software (Jonas) and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
